This is the kind of concert experience everyone hopes for: Don Toliver’s show in Miami Aug. 22 featured a very special appearance by Justin Timberlake.
The Grammy winner, who hasn’t performed on stage for several months, joined rapper Toliver to perform his 2002 hit “Rock Your Body.” Timberlake posted highlights from his cameo on Instagram.
“I just wanted to watch the show from the VIP,” Timberlake’s IG post began, before the next slide showed a title card from SpongeBobSquarePants that read, “a few moments later.”
Cut to Timberlake entering from upstage to join Toliver during his Octane World Tour. Concertgoers couldn’t start filming the performance fast enough on their phones.
Timberlake last performed on stage at the Recording Academy Honors in January to celebrate collaborator Pharrell Williams. It was the first appearance he’s made since revealing in July of 2025 that he’s “been battling some health issues,” including Lyme disease. Timberlake was wrapping up his year-plus-long The Forget Tomorrow World Tour when he shared the news about his health.
“Living with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically,” the singer wrote on Instagram last year. “When I first got the diagnosis I was shocked for sure. But, at least I could understand why I would be onstage and in a massive amount of nerve pain or, just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness.”
