The alleged incident occurred at a hotel in São Paulo, where they were all staying for the Lollapalooza festival. Jorginho claimed that his stepdaughter walked past Chappell’s breakfast table, looked to confirm that she’d seen the singer, and smiled before returning to sit with her mom, when a “large security guard” approached their table and berated the child.

Jorginho said that the 11-year-old was left “extremely shaken” and in tears, before writing to Chappell directly: “WITHOUT YOUR FANS, YOU WOULD BE NOTHING. AND TO THE FANS, SHE DOES NOT DESERVE YOUR AFFECTION.”
