Bill Belichick’s cheerleader ex-girlfriend Jordon Hudson appeared to skip her first UNC home game of the season on Saturday night, hours after news of their secret split became public.

TMZ revealed on Friday that the high-profile couple, who are 49 years apart in age, called it quits on their controversial romance late last year, but decided to keep it under wraps.

In the months since, the pair have continued to put on loved-up displays – even holding hands at the Kentucky Derby in May – despite the reports they are no longer romantically linked.

Until Saturday night, Hudson had been a mainstay on the UNC sideline, attending every home game this season and multiple road games, but she was nowhere to be seen against Miami with her name back in the headlines. 

It was business as usual for Belichick, dressed in his usual UNC hoodie, as he coached his players in a game against Miami, the No 1 college football team in the country.

It was a wild atmosphere in Chapel Hill, but Hudson, 25, decided to stay out of the spotlight and decided against her usual glamorous role alongside players and staffers on the UNC sideline.

In recent weeks, she was in attendance for home games against Syracuse, Notre Dame and East Tennessee State, and she also traveled with Belichick to the huge win on the road at Duke a fortnight ago.

In fact, the pair were spotted beaming at each other as they left the field at the end of the game – before it became public knowledge that they had split.

TMZ’s claims that they called it a day back in 2025 came as a huge surprise to many – including multiple UNC staffers who claim to have also been kept in the dark.

A bombshell report from USA Today quoted two staffers as being ‘caught off-guard’ by news of Belichick and Hudson’s split, with the anonymous employees admitting they were ‘not aware’ of the relationship breaking down. 

TMZ’s report claims they are still ‘close friends’ and ‘remain committed to their business partnerships,’ with Hudson listed as a director for multiple companies. That is despite the outlet also reporting that she has since moved on and has dated multiple men this year.

Claims of Hudson dating other men comes amid a series of resurfaced photos published by the Daily Mail, in which the age-gap pair can be seen linking arms and holding hands at various events throughout 2026.

In April, Hudson referred to ‘Bill the WAG’ in a photo of Belichick supporting her at a cheerleading event, and a month later they held hands while trudging through the mud at the Kentucky Derby.

Belichick and Hudson’s 49-year age gap relationship lasted around two years before they split

Back in February, at least two months on from their reported split, the pair were spotted by photographers with their arms intertwined as they sat in the bleachers for a UNC basketball game in Chapel Hill. 

The Daily Mail has reached out to both Belichick and Hudson for comment. 

During the course of their romance, meanwhile, Hudson amassed an impressive $9 million property portfolio, as first reported by the Daily Mail.

She has snapped up at least four properties, including one worth $3 million, which were all purchased after she met the former New England Patriots coach.

Even more impressively, she has also paid off the mortgages on each of the homes, with her primary residence listed as a two-bedroom cottage in Cape Cod.

Records also show that she has registered 18 companies, several with names that suggest she had, or has, some control over Belichick’s affairs.

She had been operating as Belichick’s de facto manager during their relationship, and it appears she is still involved with him from a business perspective if not a romantic one.

Her control of his affairs hit the headlines most notably during a CBS Sunday Morning interview back in April 2025.

Hudson, sitting out of shot, muscled in on reporter Tony Dokoupil’s line of questioning about how the pair met, shouting out: ‘We’re not talking about this.’

CBS broadcast the multiple interruptions made by Hudson throughout the interview, with TMZ later reporting that she ‘walked out and delayed filming by 30 minutes’ and at one point even corrected Belichick while he was discussing football.

More recently, Belichick was forced to deny that Jordon has been ‘trying to control UNC’s football program,’ calling the claims ‘ridiculous’ in an interview with the Wall Street Journal in September.

To reports she is involved in virtually everything he does, Belichick responded that that is a ‘flat-out lie.’ 

Prior to his relationship with Hudson, Belichick was married to his ex-wife Debby for 30 years, before they separated prior to the 2004 NFL season.

He was then in a long-term relationship with girlfriend Linda Holliday for approximately 16 years, from 2007 to 2022.
