Kaleidoscope is inspired by a real-life incident. As reported by Seventeen, the series is loosely based on the events that occurred during Hurricane Sandy in 2012, when nearly $70 billion worth of bonds reportedly went missing from a vault in downtown Manhattan. Rather than recreating the event, the thriller series builds a fictional heist story around the idea of the missing bonds.

The limited series follows master thief Leo Pap and his crew as they plan a massive vault robbery spanning multiple timelines over 25 years. The first incident is 25 years before the heist and 6 months after the incident. The show has eight episodes, with the finale episode titled White (The Heist) and is easily available to binge-watch.
