Speaking to Variety, the actress shared that she was planning to be “on more of a Resident Evil kick” before the conversation turned to her dream gaming role.

“Yeah. And I love that world, specifically the Resident Evil world.” As the interviewer responded by saying the franchise would be “perfect” for her and praised the idea of her voicing a character in the games, Navarrette did not need many words to express what that opportunity would mean.

The candid response left little doubt about her admiration for the beloved survival horror series, while also hinting that her passion for gaming extends well beyond simply playing the titles she enjoys, as she shared during her interview with Variety.

The conversation also revealed that her dream may not be as far away as fans might think.

Inde Navarrette confirmed that she has already received offers to voice video game characters and plans to begin exploring the medium in the near future. Rather than jumping straight into a major AAA franchise, however, she wants to gain experience with smaller projects before taking on something bigger.

“Yes. Um, and I’m starting my journey with that soon because I want to try something smaller to kind of test the waters and then later different because video games are obviously a big interest of mine,” Navarrette said during the same interview with Variety,

Her comments reflect a measured approach to a medium she’s loved for years. While she’s eager to begin voice acting, Navarrette made it clear that Resident Evil remains the ultimate goal. Even after learning that a new Resident Evil film was on the way, she enthusiastically replied, “I will buy a ticket. That’s exciting,” further highlighting just how invested she already is in the franchise she hopes to one day join.

The timing also makes her ambitions particularly intriguing. Fresh off the success of Obsession, Navarrette has quickly emerged as one of Hollywood’s fastest-rising young stars and an early contender across several major awards-season conversations. She has also confirmed meeting with X-Men director Jake Schreier and previously revealed that Mystique would be her dream Marvel role, fueling speculation that a superhero project could eventually be in her future.
