Jessica Lange hints at retirement

Jessica Lange recently joined Rolling Stone for a conversation and shared that she might retire soon. She further shocked fans by revealing that her role as Mary Tyrone in the film adaptation of Eugene O’Neill’s Long Day’s Journey Into Night could be the perfect final performance before she steps away from acting. While the actress added that she is still open to potential roles in future projects, she explained that several projects do not seem to be moving forward with production.

The actress recently returned to Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story, reprising four of her previous roles. During the interview, she recalled having an extraordinary run in Hollywood, having worked with legendary actors and directors.

“And the actors I was working with! Dustin [Hoffman] and Kim [Stanley] and Jack [Nicholson]. We got to throw [Martin] Scorsese in there, too. It was an extraordinary run,” she said.

Now, Lange is not the only one who has hinted at the lack of interesting roles.

Patrick Stewart’s heartbreaking confession about career
