A Texas homeowner was horrified after returning home to find their roommates shot dead inside their house.
Police officers responded on Sunday to a home in Houston where they discovered a man and a woman dead inside their house.
Houston Police Department Homicide Detective Cory Sharp said they were initially found by the homeowner, who was not at the house at the time of the murders.
‘They got out here and met with the people who called 911, who advised that two of their roommates had been shot and killed by unknown persons in their home here,’ Sharp said about responding officers.
The victims’ identities have not been released, but officials noted that they were both between 20 and 30 years old.
Investigators said that no weapons were found inside the house, and it does not appear that the victims shot each other.
Officials added that they believe it was a third party that was behind the killings, and the suspect has not been located.
