Horrifying moment glamorous WWE star lands on her head after dropping from 15-foot ladder narrowly avoiding catastrophic injury

A terrifying spot from Saturday’s WWE Money in the Bank event has fans concerned for the health of one superstar participating in the women’s match.

Tiffany Stratton, a former WWE Women’s Champion, was competing in the match with a shot at the main event of WrestleMania on the line.

She set up to perform a swanton off the top of a high ladder and into three women competitors standing below.

But the spot went horribly wrong when Stratton landed on her head after flipping off the top rung.

An alternate angle showed the referees’ attempt to keep the ladder stable failed as it shifted the moment the wrestler jumped off, resulting in her landing shorter than expected.

Stratton immediately grabbed for the back of her head in pain as fans held their breath in fear.

Stratton was examined by in-ring medical staff and was eventually cleared to continue wrestling. She would go on to win the match, grabbing the briefcase to become the first official two-time winner of the Women’s Money in the Bank match.

After the match ended, Stratton admitted: ‘My neck still hurts, but I wanted to do anything it took to get that briefcase.’

‘I told medical I was okay. I wanna still power through this match and get through it because what’s a ladder match without Tiffy in it? So, I powered through it and it worked out in the end.’

Some fans blamed the three women below her for doing a poor job of trying to catch Stratton, but one analyst, Bryan Alvarez, said the spot was set up for failure from the start.

‘They set the ladder up like this [sideways], and instead of jumping the direction of the legs so the ladder doesn’t move, she jumped off the side. That’s how Charly Manson almost killed himself,’ he said on Wrestling Observer Radio.

‘That’s how multiple people… cause you can’t jump off the side, because as soon as you jump, the ladder flies this way, and she just went straight down.’

Stratton, who also won Money in the Bank in 2024, will now compete in a yet-to-be-determined championship match at next year’s WrestleMania.
