Hedge funder who appeared as CNBC talking head accused of STALKING after leaving bizarre ‘gifts’ for woman he insisted was his girlfriend

A hedge fund manager who has made appearances on CNBC has been arrested for stalking a woman and leaving her bizarre ‘gifts,’ police say.

Josh Koren, 38, who has been featured on the business network as the founder of Musketeer Capital Partners and a portfolio manager with PLP Funds, has been charged with aggravated stalking and trespassing, Florida court records show.

According to an arrest report from the Miami Beach Police Department, the cops were called when Koren showed up at the apartment of a woman whom he claimed was his girlfriend on Monday.

‘Koren argued with officers on scene and stated he had every right to be at the location because his girlfriend resided there,’ the report said.

Koren allegedly told police that he planned to move into the apartment and he had stopped by to deliver her groceries.

The victim told police that she had not invited Koren over, and he had no reason to be there.

A security guard told police that Koren gained entry to the building by following an unsuspecting group inside.

The hedge funder was arrested at the scene, and when police searched his car, they allegedly found ‘gifts’ Koren intended to give the woman.

The items included two new dresses, two folding knives, a can of pepper spray and a stun gun, according to the arrest report.

When arresting officers asked Koren who should take care of his pets, he told them the victim, referring to her again as his girlfriend, the report said.

Koren had already received a trespass warning on May 7 after he showed up at the apartment and ’caused a scene,’ according to police.

One neighbor even told the police she was having a security system installed due to Koren’s previous behavior.

The neighbor claimed that Koren ‘was banging on her door’ because he thought the victim lived in her apartment.

In a sworn statement to police, the victim said that Koren had been told multiple times to leave her alone.

‘To the point where her workplace provided legal documentation to Koren to no longer bother or communicate with her,’ the arrest report stated.

‘[Koren] has continued to harass the victim from multiple phone numbers, leaving messages as if the two are an item when they are not.

‘The victim, especially after today’s events in which the defendant trespassed and had in his possession extremely concerning items, is in fear for her safety.’

Koren invoked his right to remain silent and has been booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

His bail was set at $3,000 with the condition of house arrest. As of Wednesday afternoon, jail records show he is still in custody.

Koren’s next court hearing has not been scheduled.
