The Green Bay Packers have agreed to a $110 million, four-year contract extension with wide receiver Christian Watson.
The 27-year-old pass catcher, who was selected by the Packers in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, has also been given an eye-watering $31m signing bonus.
It comes despite Watson having missed a number of games over the course of his Lambeau Field career through injury.
He missed seven games last season, as he recovered from a torn ACL he suffered in January 2025, and eight in the 2023 campaign with hamstring problems.
Last season, when he finally returned to action, Watson showed his class and managed 35 receptions for 611 yards and six touchdowns.
Across his NFL career, Watson has caught 133 passes for 2,264 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Watson is not the first Packers receiver to get paid this offseason. The team also handed Jayden Reed a three-year, $50m contract.
The team needed to strengthen their receiver room after losing both Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks in free agency. Doubs signed with the New England Patriots while Wicks joined the Philadelphia Eagles.
‘It was definitely tough to see those guys go because they’re great friends of mine, great teammates,’ Watson said this week during Packers OTAs.
‘This thing always keeps on moving. I definitely think they’ll be a lot more opportunities for the guys who are out there this year, myself included. Just gotta embrace that and continue to make plays when our numbers are called.’
Watson, Reed and former first-round pick Matthew Golden are all expected to play big roles for quarterback Jordan Love next season.
