Emergency services were called just before 11am on Saturday to Mount French, about 100km west of Brisbane.

When crews arrived, they found a woman in her 20s injured near Mount French Road.

A spokesperson for Queensland Ambulance Service said she suffered significant head injuries.

A rescue helicopter attempted to evacuate the woman from where she had landed, according to The Courier Mail.

However, she had to be moved before emergency services could reach her due to dense bushland.

She was eventually airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital just before 1pm.

In footage published by 7News, emergency crews could be seen gathering at the bottom of the mountain.
