Offerman spilled the tea on his relationship with Mullally in an interview with People: “We adore each other. We’re two human beings, so it’s a relationship that requires work, patience, and maintenance. I’m sure I drive her up a tree sometimes, and that’s when I go and sleep out in the backyard. Then, I write her a letter, and she lets me back in the house.” The two comedians have spent the past two decades making each other laugh. They met in 2000 while acting in a production of The Berlin Circle.

Offerman proposed to Mullally in 2002 at Regent’s Park in London. Since then, the couple has released a shared memoir, costarred on Parks and Recreation, and they’ve even had nude portraits taken for their profile in New York magazine.
