The Facts of Life actress Mindy Cohn revealed she has cancer again.
Cohn, 59, shared the news in an Instagram post on Sunday, April 19, that featured a photo of herself giving a thumbs-up from a hospital bed.
“Have been off social media for a while ‘cuz I had to go kick cancer’s ass,” she began her post, before thanking her doctors and the “extraordinary” staff of Providence Saint John’s Hospital.
“Recouping for another couple of weeks and then ready for my next adventure. onwards! F**K Cancer!” the Palm Royale actress added.
Cohn did not disclose the type of cancer in her post. Representatives for the actress did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
In 2017, Cohn revealed that she was in remission from breast cancer after being diagnosed with the disease five years earlier in 2012.

She underwent a double mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation in what she said felt like a “siege” while speaking to PEOPLE at the time.

“I’ve always been an optimist,” she said. “But the cancer metastasized. It kept spreading and coming back. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, and then it would. And then I’d wait for another shoe to drop, and it would. I was frustrated and enraged. I couldn’t control any of this. I couldn’t fix it.”
Cohn has received an outpouring of love after sharing her most recent health update.
“Love you, Mindy! Here whenevs you need us!” Jerry O’Connell wrote in the comments section.
