NFL star Dak Prescott has used his public split from ex-fiancee Sarah Jane Ramos as motivation to get into ‘the best shape of his life,’ according to sources.

The Dallas Cowboys star’s dramatic physical transformation comes just months after Ramos abruptly called off their wedding in Italy amid a series of cheating allegations. 

Their Lake Como wedding was scheduled to have taken place on April 10, but was canceled, days after they held a joint bachelor-bachelorette party in the Bahamas in February, amid alleged ‘ongoing infidelity issues’ involving the NFL star.

While the stress of such a public fallout would likely derail most athletes’ offseason preparations, insiders have now revealed that Prescott has used it as motivation.

‘Dak is in the best shape of his life,’ a source revealed to The Daily Mail. ‘Like anyone preparing for their wedding day, he wanted to look and feel his absolute best, so he took his training to another level leading up to the ceremony. 

‘And then after the wedding didn’t happen, that commitment never faded. Instead, it fueled him to maintain the physique he had worked so hard to build and push himself even further. Now, all of his focus is on football.’

According to the source, the ultimate objective of this physical transformation is clear-cut as the Dallas Cowboys prepare for a demanding campaign next season.

‘He’s determined to enter the upcoming season in peak condition and do everything he can to help lead the Cowboys back to a Super Bowl – and, of course, win it,’ they said.

‘At the same time, Dak is also looking toward his future, with the expectation that he’ll sign a new contract with the Cowboys – one that could very well be the final deal of his NFL career. He wants to finish his career in Dallas while maximizing both his legacy and his earning potential. 

‘So being in tremendous shape, playing out of his mind and leading the Cowboys to the promise land, he’s making his decisions with his body [to] dictate the other stuff he wants to happen in his life.’ 

Prescott and the Cowboys are ramping up their preparation for the 2026 season.

The Cowboys, who failed to reach the playoffs last season, begin the new campaign with a hugely anticipated Sunday Night Football showdown against the New York Giants on September 13.

Prescott is on a four-year, $240 million deal with the Cowboys, who desperately hope he will lead them to a far more successful season this time around.  

On the other side of the split, Ramos is navigating her own complex and emotional path forward following the abrupt end of their engagement.

Watching a former partner undergo a massive public physical transformation under the gaze of millions presents its own unique set of challenges, our source said.

And, according to the insider, Ramos has struggled to watch Prescott’s impressive metamorphosis, while prioritizing the well-being of their two daughters, Margaret and Aurora.

‘Sarah has seen the change with Dak. Some are calling it a “revenge body”, but she has to take it for what it is and can’t react or be jealous because she has to be around him for the rest of her life thanks to their kids,’ the insider said.

‘It is a little difficult to battle feelings because in a perfect world, they should be married right now. That isn’t how things have landed, and she has to focus on being a mom over anything else. 

‘But if there was gun to her head and she had to address it, she is happy that Dak, as he has done for his entire career, is continuing to take that seriously.

‘Would she rather be with him as a couple? Definitely. But that’s not how things are ever going to be and he has all the right in the world, just like her, to live the lives they are living now.’ 

Ramos and Prescott, both 32, had just held their joint pre-nuptial bash in the Bahamas when they split.

Ramos still shared pictures of the trip on Instagram – without featuring Prescott – and pointedly captioned the snaps: ‘I truly believe you can get through anything in life as long as you have really great friends. I love these girls so much.’

It then later emerged via Page Six that Ramos ‘believed Prescott had a history of communicating with other women during his relationship with her… but she stayed with him hoping he would clean up his act.’

The report added that they had held serious talks about Prescott’s behavior back in January. 

But to the wider world, news of the split was still surprising. Just weeks earlier, the couple had looked very much in love when they appeared at the NFL Honors in San Francisco during Super Bowl week.
