“Devil Forever” – Kieran Culkin’s ‘Family Guy’ Role Gets a Major Update

Kieran Culkin has volunteered to play the Devil on Family Guy for as long as the show will have him. Hulu is serving a Halloween special this month, and H*** has been tidied up for guests. Two famously bad influences are heading there, and neither packed a good excuse. The cartoon has run for 24 seasons, so fresh surprises are getting rare, yet this one arrives with a wide, devilish grin.

While Culkin gets comfortable behind the Devil’s desk, the showrunners are busy handing him the pitchfork and a lifetime contract.

Kieran Culkin wants to stay the Devil on Family Guy for good

Kieran Culkin wants to make his Family Guy Devil role a permanent gig, and the showrunners are ready to keep the pitchfork in his hands. The Succession star voices Satan in the Halloween special and clearly enjoyed it.

“He was really game, wanted to have fun with it,” co-showrunner Alex Sulkin told Variety.

He added, “He wants to be the Family Guy Devil forever going forward.”

Co-showrunner Richard Appel said the team will gladly accept.

Variety reports the Halloween special will arrive on Hulu on October 5. Stewie and Brian skip rescuing a drowning man to catch a ferry to a Block Island party, because Stewie hopes to meet Eddie Redmayne. They die soon after, pass through purgatory, and land in the office of an overworked Devil voiced by Culkin. Sulkin, who directed the episode, found the actor startlingly similar to his Succession character, Roman Roy.

As Culkin settles into the underworld, his calendar fills with a Hunger Games host and an opinionated pig.

Kieran Culkin has a packed lineup beyond Family Guy

Kieran Culkin steps into Caesar Flickerman’s flashy television suit in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, a role Stanley Tucci played in the earlier films. The film is in post-production and reaches theaters on November 20, 2026. Ralph Fiennes, Elle Fanning, Maya Hawke, Jesse Plemons, and Joseph Zada, who plays Haymitch Abernathy, round out a stacked cast. Flickerman hosts the televised games, so expect gleaming teeth and absolutely no mercy.

Animal Farm, directed by Andy Serkis, gave Culkin the voice of Squealer in May and has since moved to digital and VOD. Nancy Meyers writes and directs Paris Paramount, a romantic comedy with Culkin, Penélope Cruz, Jude Law, and Owen Wilson, due December 25, 2027. Disney’s Clay follows in November 2028, with Culkin voicing Flip, a reluctant mentor to a ball of clay. Every other credit on his calendar has an end date, but the Devil gets a forever clause.
