Jackson Olson’s dancing shoes aren’t his only accessory shining on the ballroom floor. 

A week after making his Dancing With the Stars debut on season 35 alongside professional partner Emma Slater, the baseball player addressed fan questions about his pearly white smile.

“No, they’re not real,” Olson confirmed in a Sept. 21 TikTok. “They’re veneers, all of them.”

As for why the Savannah Bananas baseball star updated his performance gear?

“Three years ago, during one of my games, I got hit in the face with a baseball and broke my jaw,” he continued. “Thirty minutes later, I was in the hospital and realized my teeth were, in fact, not fine.”

Indeed, Olson underwent jaw surgery the next day and documented his recovery experience, which also included one event that was certainly a home run. 

“A week later, I went to a Taylor Swift concert because you guys know I was not missing that,” he shared. “And just three weeks later, I was back on the field wearing a cage on my helmet.”
