The new Crockett & Jones Richmond II and Bowland Preorder is now live and ready for you to secure your pair on this exclusive and time-limited production run. This just might be one of my favorite Preorder collections from Crockett & Jones, namely for the fact that it offers, not one, but two pairs of two-tone loafers.

I was a sucker for the Crockett & Jones Richmond II launch earlier in the year, as part of the new SS2026 collection. The Milled Brown Grain Leather with canvas combo was a classic two-tone take on the Ivy-League style moc loafer, but Crockett & Jones one-upped themselves with two new colorways now available on this exclusive run.

I honestly can’t decide which colorway I prefer. Simply put, I love both and could use either just as commonly as the other. Being a sucker for black suede and blue suede for that matter, my heart leans there, but the two-tone Cordovan option is just so cool. I think that in the end, I would succumb to my predictable ways and opt for the black suede simply because I know that I would wear it more, as black suede pairs so nicely with jeans. In a perfect world, I would just get both, as I am sure many of you feel the same.

The Bowland model, on the other hand, is quite different and appears to be a nod to the ‘bowling’ style sneaker. I have always had mixed feelings about that style. Sometimes, I like it; sometimes I don’t. Can’t honestly say how I feel about the Bowland. One thing that I do like is the last. The 378 has a perfectly round toe that is not too offensively blunt yet not overly pointy. It sits just right, in the middle. Of the two, I would certainly go for the Hatchgrain option. That looks like a nice, hardwearing sneaker.

Crockett & Jones’ Preorder collection is a bi-annual offering whereby C&J offers exclusive models where they amass orders for around one month and then produce the shoes purchased. There is no guarantee that the models will meet further production requirements to become full-fledged core models, so grabbing your pair while on Preorder is crucial to ensuring you get a pair. Afterward, if they don’t meet the mark, they become a more expensive MTO option.

So, if you fancy one, grab it while you can. C&J doesn’t give a cutoff time to get those orders in.

Which one is your favorite?
