A Coronation Street star has posted a desperate plea for help following the disappearance of his best friend’s son.
Dylan Mandaracas was seen walking on a pavement in Walmley Close, in Sutton Coldfield, at around 6pm on October 28.
But the 26-year-old, who was wearing a checked shirt and black trousers at the time, has not been sighted or heard from since.
West Midlands Police issued an appeal for information about Dylan’s whereabouts, before his father asked for ‘anyone who had any information’ to come forward and help.
That post was this week shared by Tony Maudsley, who plays George Shuttleworth in ITV soap Coronation Street.
Alongside four pictures of Dylan, the actor wrote in a heartfelt post on Sunday: ‘Still need your help on this one if you can? My friend’s son Dylan is still missing.
‘Obviously his family are incredibly distressed as he’s now been missing for some time. Any help with shares, especially in the Midlands area would be greatly appreciated.
‘@Mandaracasehristian1 [Dylan’s father] is an old school friend of mine from Liverpool but he’s understandably desperate to find his son.

Dylan’s father described him as ‘5″9 in height with an athletic build’ and urged anyone who may know where he is to contact West Midlands Police
Coronation Street star Tony Maudsley joined the search for the 26-year-old by posting a plea on Instagram
‘The power of the internet can sometimes work its magic and do some good. I’m going to paste Christian’s post below in the hope it’ll reach the eyes of someone who might have some information on Dylan’s whereabouts.’
A post by Dylan’s father meanwhile revealed that Dylan vanished only seven days before he was due to turn 27.
He wrote: ‘My beautiful boy, Dylan Mandaracas is still missing. Dylan was last seen wearing a distinctive checked jacket, Black work trousers and black work boots.
‘Dylan is 5″9’ in height with an athletic build. He has a distinctive scar through his left eyebrow from a junior school, playground accident. Dylan was a team member with the Walsall FC academy in his youth and played for various football clubs across the region.
‘Many of his colleagues, friends and family have been actively putting up his “Missing Person” poster throughout the West Midlands, in the hope that the general public can help the West Midlands Police locate him.
‘We urgently need people to look through their doorbell and dashcam footage over the past 10 days for any clues that might hold information to Dylan’s whereabouts.
‘We’re also asking shops, railways, bus stations and businesses with CCTV, to look through their footage for any clues in identifying Dylan since Oct 28th.
‘As a father, I am pleading to the compassion of people and local communities to look over their footage for any clues.’
Anyone who may have information which could help to find Dylan is asked to contact West Midlands Police.
