Corey Feldman Hospitalized After In-Flight Medical Emergency

Corey Feldman has reportedly been released from the hospital after being transported from LAX following a mid-flight medical emergency.

A rep for the actor told TMZ on Tuesday, June 16, that doctors ran multiple tests before determining Feldman was suffering from food poisoning.

One day after he was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital, Feldman has been cleared to leave, per the outlet.

Corey Feldman was hospitalized after experiencing a medical emergency while flying to Los Angeles, multiple outlets report.

The 54-year-old actor was traveling from Chicago to L.A. on Monday, June 15, when he reportedly felt sick and was tended to by a doctor who happened to be on board, according to TMZ.

Upon the plane’s arrival, Feldman was met by paramedics at the gate and rushed to the hospital from LAX, per the outlet.

A rep for Feldman confirmed to People on Tuesday, June 16, that doctors have ruled out gallstones as the cause of the medical emergency.

Prior to his hospitalization, Feldman was in both Chicago and Indiana celebrating the 40th anniversary of his hit 1986 film Stand by Me.

“STAND BY ME LIVE IN CHICAGO @ THE WORLD FAMOUS @chicagotheatre & THE ROAD 2 GETTING 2 R FINAL STOP (4 now?) ON THE #STANDBYMELIVE TOUR!” Feldman wrote via Instagram on Monday, hours before his mid-flight health scare.

The actor, who played Teddy Duchamp in the movie, revealed that on his way to the “Stand by Me: The Film and Its Stars 40 Years Later” event in Chicago, his team drove through Gary, Indiana, where he “just had to quickly stop [and] pay #respect” to Michael Jackson by visiting the late pop star’s family home.

Feldman also shared pictures of the Chicago Theatre where the event took place and snaps of him reuniting with Stand by Me costars Jerry O’Connell and Wil Wheaton.

O’Connell, 52, and Wheaton, 53, played Vern Tessio and Gordie Lachance, respectively, in the iconic coming-of-age movie. The movie also starred the late River Phoenix as Chris Chambers. (The actor died in 1993 at the age of 23 following a drug overdose.)

Feldman noted that “sadly” the Chicago stop marked the final weekend of shows for their 40th anniversary film tour.

One day prior, Feldman posted pictures from the cast’s tour stop in Indianapolis, Indiana, where they took over the Murat Theatre.

“THE BOYS R BACK IN TOWN!!! #STANDBYMELIVE RETURNS THIS WEEKEND!!” he captioned the Sunday, June 14, post, which included a snap of O’Connell and Wheaton taking a selfie outside the venue.

Feldman also shared a picture of himself spending time with O’Connell inside the theater as fans watched Stand by Me on the big screen.
