Fernet-Branca celebrates its 180th anniversary with the release of a limited edition bottle that honors the brand’s storied heritage while looking toward the future of the amaro category. Known as “The Bartender’s Handshake,” Fernet-Branca marks this milestone with a design that blends historic symbolism and modern artistry.
The bottle features an enlarged version of the brand’s iconic eagle emblem set against a surrealist depiction of the Fratelli Branca distillery in Milan. While the collectible label is newly designed, “the amaro inside, crafted from a secret recipe of 27 herbs, flowers, spices, and roots sourced from more than four continents, remains unchanged.”
First introduced in 1901 by artist Leopoldo Metlicovitz, the eagle represents a balance between tradition and progress. In celebration, sixth-generation family member Edoardo Branca will embark on a U.S. tour, recognizing 180 top accounts as ‘Merchants of the Know,’ reflecting the brand’s lasting cultural presence and loyal following.
