High on Life 2 is a sequel developed by Squanch Games and a follow-up to the 2022 original. The game resumes the narrative where the first installment left off, continuing the player’s efforts against an antagonistic space cartel and introducing a plot element involving the reappearance of a mysterious figure whose actions have significant personal ramifications for the protagonist. The official announcement was made at the Xbox Games Showcase 2025, and the title is scheduled for release this winter on platforms including Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5, as well as through Xbox Game Pass.

In terms of gameplay, High on Life 2 maintains its foundation as a first-person shooter while further incorporating the series’ signature blend of humor and action. The sequel builds upon the established mechanics by reintroducing a cast of anthropomorphic weapons and characters alongside new combat and traversal features. An expanded arsenal of alien weaponry and refined movement options are designed to enhance the interactive experience, reflecting Squanch Games’ approach to evolving both the technical and narrative dimensions of the title.
