Clean the Sky – Repurposed Wood-Waste Materials

Clean the Sky - Positive Eco Trends & Breakthroughs

Wood terrazzo, an innovative material developed by London-based company Foresso, transforms reclaimed wood waste into a refined, sustainable surface ideal for modern design applications. Spearheaded by director Conor Taylor, the concept emerged from his experience in small-scale woodworking, where he recognized both the aesthetic potential and environmental cost of discarded materials. This realization led to the creation of wood terrazzo—a material that marries craftsmanship with ecological responsibility.

Handcrafted using wood chips sourced from local businesses, Foresso’s wood terrazzo incorporates mineral powders, natural pigments, wood dust, and bio-based resin, layered over a plywood base and cured overnight. Each surface is carefully sanded and finished by hand to achieve a smooth, sophisticated finish. The result is a durable, visually striking product that embodies warmth and character, making it suitable for both residential and commercial environments while promoting sustainable material use.
