Clean the Sky – Approved Net-Zero Emissions Goals

Clean the Sky - Positive Eco Trends & Breakthroughs

SHEIN, a leading global e-commerce fast fashion retailer, has achieved a significant sustainability milestone with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) officially approving its net-zero emissions goals. The company’s near and long-term targets align with the Paris Agreement’s objective of limiting global temperature rise to 1.5°C.

SHEIN appears committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions across its entire value chain. The approved plan includes ambitious benchmarks. SHEIN is focusing on cutting direct operational emissions by 42% and indirect supply chain emissions by 25% by 2030, with a long-term goal of 90% reductions by 2050. A key focus is transitioning to 100% renewable energy for SHEIN’s operations within the next five years, alongside improving energy efficiency and phasing out fossil fuels.

The transparency in outlining specific strategies for reaching these net-zero emissions goals — from solar energy adoption to supplier collaboration — definitely helps with transparency.
