The allegations come several months after the Daily Mail published a report in March claiming that Charli had allegedly distanced herself from her “toxic” family.

At the time, a source told the site, “They seemed really toxic and pushed her to work so much. Her parents treated her like a cash cow.”

The insider also claimed her parents were eager to raise their public profile through pursuits such as the Hulu series, calling them “extremely fame-hungry.”

“They were constantly trying to force Charli to do things she didn’t want to simply because it would bring in more money and fame,” the insider alleged. “They honestly seemed way more desperate for fame and attention than Charli ever was, and it was them trying to push themselves as the next Kardashians.”
