A furious Indiana man allegedly caused panic at an IHOP when he fired his gun after accusing a cook of having sex with his wife.
Austen Geoffery Wable, 28, was ‘extremely drunk’ when he shoved the cook and pointed a gun at him at the IHOP in Muncie, about 60 miles northeast of Indianapolis, last Thursday, per legal documents cited by WTHR.
An employee who deescalated the situation claimed Wable told the cook, ‘You f***ed my bitch, bro.’
The other employee then allegedly attempted to break up the escalating spat, upon which Wable’s firearm went off.
Wable then continued chasing the cook outside the IHOP at 3300 North Chadam Lane with a knife, according to the outlet.
The employee allegedly said he was ‘pretty sure’ Wable shot himself during the confrontation. He had a ‘hole in the back of his pants’ and at one point said, ‘I’m leaking.’
Wable allegedly left the scene driving his wife’s SUV and sped away from police squad cars at more than 110 mph when they spotted him.
The chase ended when Wable crashed into a two–story brick home on South County Road 400 E and got out of the car ‘stumbling’ and ‘seeming disoriented,’ Fox59 reported.

Muncie Police Department officers were unable to speak with him because he was so intoxicated, according to the reported documents.
Officers confirmed that Wable had a gunshot wound once he was taken into custody.
Law enforcement tracked Wable down after his outburst at the IHOP using Flock Safety cameras, according to the documents reported by WTHR.
Wable sped away at high speed once he was located on Biltmore Avenue and officers initiated a traffic stop.
As Wable did so, he went airborne and almost crashed into cars that were driving in the other direction, per the reports.
Wable was preliminarily charged with criminal recklessness, intimidation, unlawful carrying of a handgun, pointing a firearm, resisting law enforcement and operating while intoxicated with endangerment.

Wable was convicted in 2021 of carrying a handgun without a license, according to reported court documents.
That conviction barred Wable from carrying a firearm.
First responders had found a gun in the IHOP with a single shell casing nearby.
Court records viewed by the Daily Mail said Wable would be held at the Delaware County Jail with no bail until his bail hearing happens.
That is scheduled for next Monday morning, according to the order signed by Judi L. Calhoun.
The Daily Mail has reached out to the Delaware County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for comment.
An attorney for Wable was not immediately listed in Indiana court documents viewed by the Daily Mail.
