Crave Cupcakes, a Canadian bakery known for its scratch-made recipes and focus on quality, is preparing to open its first location in Kelowna, British Columbia. This expansion represents a new geographic milestone for the company and contributes to the growing presence of regional bakeries shaping Canada’s culinary landscape.
Founded in 2004 by sisters Carolyne McIntyre Jackson and Jodi Willoughby, Crave began as a single bakery in Calgary. Since then, it has built a reputation for its consistent use of high-quality ingredients and a policy of baking fresh daily with no day-old products. As such, the brand now operates multiple locations across Alberta and Saskatchewan, with Kelowna marking its entry into a third province.
In addition to its retail growth, Crave reaches a national audience through its Bake-at-Home product line and its cookbook, Crave: Cupcakes, Cakes, Cookies, and More from an Iconic Bakery, offering a broader influence on Canada’s home baking culture.
