The first season of The Hunting Wives focuses on Sophie O’Neil, a Boston return who finds herself entangled in the glitzy but scandalous world of Margo Banks and her elite East Texas social circle. Abby, a teenager, is murdered with Sophie’s missing gun, and Sophie is the primary suspect. As Sophie and Margo investigate the murder, long-buried affairs and dangerous secrets come to light. The truth about Margo’s part in Abby’s death comes out at last, and Sophie gets caught up in an ever more complex web of lies, guilt and consequences. 

Now, the second season finds Sophie and Margo estranged following the tumultuous events of season one. But their twisted history is far from over. When long buried secrets surface and new enemies come to Maple Brook, the two women are forced back into an uneasy alliance. The next season promises another round of political intrigue, small-town scandals and personal drama, taking the story in a new direction beyond May Cobb’s original novel.
