Brand New Day 4K UHD, Blu-ray and streaming release available ‣ Diverse Daily

Spider-Man: Brand New Day released in theaters this week, and despite only being out for one full day, the movie has already broken an important box office record, already earning an incredible $72 million in previews, including Wednesday early access screenings. This smashes the all-time preview record formerly held by Avengers: Endgame, which made $60 million in Thursday previews before going on to the biggest opening weekend of all time.

This incredible box office performance so early essentially guarantees a long theatrical release for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, but if you are super excited to bring the latest film featuring Peter Parker home, Sony has already made this film available to pre-order, not just on streaming but on 4K UHD and Blu-ray as well. Here’s what we know so far about Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s move to the small screen following its theatrical release:

Pre-orders for Spider-Man are already available on several major platforms

While we don’t have an at-home streaming date yet, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is now available to pre-order digitally on several major platforms, including Apple TV and Fandango at Home for $30. For those who would like a physical and digital copy, pre-orders for the film in both Blu-ray and 4K UHD as well as a special edition steelbook (which all include a digital copy) are also live at Walmart and Amazon. An additional collector’s edition is also available to pre-order for $150 at Walmart, but details about what is included in this expensive release have not been shared yet.

Currently, none of these pre-order pages contain a release date, but if this movie ends up being a monster success, it seems likely that there will be at least a 10-week wait for Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s home release, meaning it will probably be available to watch on the small screen sometime in October.

If you don’t mind waiting awhile to watch this movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day should eventually be able to stream free for Disney+ subscribers sometime next year. Though it is a Sony release, it also falls under the Marvel umbrella, and though it has taken several years in the past for Spider-Man movies to show up on Disney+, currently the home for every single Spider-Man movie, we have no reason to believe that this film won’t also make its way to the service eventually.

While we don’t know exactly when this movie will hit Disney+, distributor Sony will likely want as many fans purchasing the digital/disc release for this film as possible following its record-breaking theatrical run, which means that it will be several months before we can expect its “free” streaming debut on Disney+. Still, if you aren’t in a rush to catch up with Spider-Man Brand New Day, you’ll likely be able to do so some time in 2027, depending on what agreement Sony works out with Disney.
