Body is found in urgent search for swimmer who disappeared in the water at North Wollongong


An urgent search for a swimmer who disappeared has come to an end after a body was found.

Emergency services were called to Cliff Road at North Wollongong, NSW, following reports the belongings of a swimmer had been found at 10.40am on Sunday.

A search was launched for the missing 32-year-old man before his body was found in the nearby water.

He is yet to be formally identified.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
