A deranged New York City subway rider threatened to cut a man’s ‘f***ing face open’ after the sharply dressed commuter asked him to stop blasting music through a speaker.

Chilling footage shared to X on Thursday captured a crazed MTA rider unleashing an explosive tirade at a composed commuter quietly reading a book while dressed in a pastel button-down, beige slacks and matching shades. 

The sudden confrontation started when the well-dressed man, who was wearing earphones, dared to ask the aggressive New Yorker to turn down the music booming from his portable speaker. 

Rather than peacefully complying, the rider erupted into a verbal attack, threatening to mutilate the commuter’s face with a knife if he didn’t ‘shut up’ and ‘mind his business.’

For nearly two minutes, the rider filmed himself terrorizing the train car while relentlessly targeting the classy commuter, who seemed determined not to engage.

The video was shared by X user BrooklynP8triot, who captioned it: ‘Shockingly, no police officers were present to intervene.’

‘Yet Governor Hochul and Mayor Mamdani have remained silent and taken no action to address the escalating disorder in our transit system,’ he added.

‘This cannot continue. New Yorkers deserve the truth, and they deserve safety. It is long past time for real leadership and meaningful change on our subways.’

The confrontation began when the commuter dared to ask the aggressive rider to turn down the music booming from his portable speaker

The footage went viral across social media, with thousands weighing in on the unsettling contrast between the screaming cameraman and the calm commuter absorbed in his book. 

‘The juxtaposition of a psycho yelling and screaming after being challenged for socially inconsiderate behavior versus a dude with a book is just too good,’ one viewer on Reddit wrote.

In the video, the cameraman films the commuter while angrily ranting about the request to lower his music, calling him a ‘b***h’ and insisting he shouldn’t be told what to do. 

‘This man got his motherf*****g headphones on and told me to put my f***ing speaker down,’ the aggressor said, pointing out the commuter while holding his speaker up for the camera.

‘You out your f***ing mind my man,’ he added. ‘I want to f***ing cut you.’

For a brief moment, the commuter looked up from his book, met the camera’s gaze and appeared to offer a calm, brief response while pointing to his ear. 

The interaction seemed to fuel the rider’s fury, as he stepped in closer, shouted louder and unleashed a string of curses, telling the commuter to ‘shut the f*** up.’

‘What did you think? I was a f***ing punk or something?’ the crazed man continued.

With the situation spiraling, a woman sitting beside the rider encouraged him to move, placing her hand on his back as she followed him to the other side of the subway car. 

The rider only grew more erratic, standing and shouting at full volume through the subway car, again and again declaring that the man moving was the ‘right thing to do.’

‘You don’t want no drama with me motherf*****. I’ll cut your f***ing face open,’ he declared. ‘Are you f***ing serious? Your gonna tell me to f***ing put my speaker down, and you got f***ing headphones on?’

The cameraman then turned his attention to the woman who had stepped in earlier, flashing the lens toward her face as he said, ‘You know I’m f***ing right, Miss.’

She tried to avoid the camera, covering her face and telling him not to film her, but the man responded by screaming for her to ‘mind her business then’ while referring to her as a ‘stupid b***h.’

‘Suck my d***,’ he told the entire train car as it finally came to a stop. ‘Whoever want it with me, let me know. I’m ready. F*** you.’

The footage spread like wildfire across social media, amassing more than 200,000 views on both Reddit and X.
