Thousands of Aussies let their hair down to enjoy a day in the sun as they celebrated the Caulfield Cup.
Kingswood won the $6million prize in a dramatic edition of the world’s richest 2,400m turf handicap on Saturday.
Racegoers made the most of the spring sunshine and cheered on from the stands.
The crowd was dressed to the nines, with ironed shirts and freshly pressed suits a common sight among the men, and classy and formal dresses among the women.
Trained by Gavin Bedggood and with John Allen in the saddle, Kingswood beat Saint George in a thrilling finish to the 150th edition of the race.
Third home was Enfjaar, with pre-race favourite Cosmic Crusader fourth.
The race was marred by tragedy with mare Ohope Wins forced to be euthanased after a nasty fall at the 250m mark with Half Yours.
Racing Victoria vets revealed Ohope Wins, trained by Chris Waller, was put down on the track.

Half Yours was brought back to his feet and returned to the mounting yard.
The jockeys of both horses, Mark Zahra (Half Yours) and Jye McNeil (Ohope Wins), were not injured and taken to hospital for observation.
Trainer Tony McEvoy said Half Yours appeared to have some abrasions, but was okay overall.
‘That was terrible to watch,’ he said.
‘The horse, he’s got a couple of lacerations, he seems bright, he seems composed in himself.
‘He’s got a laceration under his arm, he’s got a laceration on a hind leg. They look superficial.’
Kingswood was the widest runner into the straight but avoided the falls and surged home.
The race drew an assortment of stars, including My Kitchen Rules’s Zana Pail who had racegoers doing a double take.
She ensured all eyes were on her when she strutted into the event in a bubble gum hued design that featured a cropped vest and full length skirt with peplum detailing.

Zana added to her maximalist Barbiecore look with a dramatic silver headband and statement drop earrings, while carrying her belongings in a giant pearl handbag attached to a long strand of pearls.
Olivia Molly Rogers opted for a more classic ensemble on the day, wearing a tailored jacket paired with a tulle skirt.
Her Hugo Breakey looked equally old school in a brown tailored suit paired with a blue dress shirt and pink tie.
Nathan Buckley cut a dapper figure as he posed with new girlfriend Kate Dickins.
The AFL great looked very refined in a grey suit and blinding white dress shirt and tie.
Meanwhile, Kate was the epitome of chic in a stunning red dress that was cinched at the waist to highlight her athletic frame.
Also attending the event were Chloe and Toby Pink, fresh from announcing their pregnancy news.
The AFL WAG looked chic in an all-black maxi dress, sweeping her brunette locks back in a matching headband.
