Left back Ruggeri, 24, joins from Atletico Madrid, while goalkeeper Suzuki, 23, arrives after two years in Italy with Parma.

Meanwhile, Rangers have signed right back Kosta Nedeljkovic from Villa.

The 20-year-old has moved to Ibrox on a season-long loan, with a £4m obligation to buy, which will be triggered by the number of games he plays.

As Daily Mail Sport revealed last week, Villa are signing Aaron Wan Bissaka on loan from West Ham pending his medical today.

The deal can become an obligation to buy at around £18million.

Jones keen on Inter switch

Inter Milan have held further talks with Liverpool today over the transfer of Curtis Jones.

The Italians are confident of finding agreement around a £30million fee for the midfielder.

Jones would link up with John Stones and Djed Spence at Inter if all goes to plan. Jones has been eager to start more regularly and is ready for a fresh challenge.

Inter have been pursuing 25-year-old Jones since December.

There’s a new Cherif in town

Coventry have completed their ninth signing of the summer transfer window with Fenerbahce striker Sidiki Cherif for £20.5million.

The deal has taken the club’s spending to over £120m.

Toon’s Nkunku offer

Newcastle have been offered the chance to sign former Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku from AC Milan.

However, their priority remains to sign a midfielder first hence talks with Man City for Nico Gonzalez. Other targets are also being discussed.

Nkunku has been told he can leave Milan and has interest from RB Leipzig among others.

Toon are also closing on Genclerbirligi’s midfielder Ousmane Diabate.

The highly-rated 18-year-old had been set for Brentford while Tottenham had also shown interest.

First team football in a top league such as La Liga is viewed as an integral next step. He also has interest from Portugal and Germany.
