Arsenal hold an interest in Jarell Quansah and have made contact with the England defender’s representatives.
Bayer Leverkusen do not wish to sell the 23-year-old but Arsenal want to be aware of the parameters and know he would be open to joining them.
Arsenal are continuing talks for Ezri Konsa but Aston Villa’s valuation has been prohibitive for the deal they want.
A Liverpool academy graduate, Quansah joined Leverkusen from his boyhood club last summer. Liverpool had a buy back clause this summer which has now expired, although they have no plans to bring him back.
Their priority remains forward positions and notably Paris St Germain’s Bradley Barcola.
Quansah made three appearances at the 2026 World Cup, and can play at centre back and right back.
