Alex Rodriguez is batting solo.

More than three years after the former MLB star showed off his romance with Jaclyn Cordeiro, the fitness trainer confirmed that they had broken up.

“To clarify, Alex and I are currently taking some time apart but there continues to be mutual love, care, and deep respect between us and for our families,” Jaclyn told TMZ in a May 21 statement. “We remain supportive of one another, and there is absolutely no animosity, drama, or negative story here.”

She emphasized that after splitting from Alex—who shares daughters Natasha, 21, and Ella, 18, with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis—her priority has been tending to a loved one navigating a “serious health matter.”

“Alex and I continue to be very close,” Jaclyn—mom to daughters Bella, 15, and Savanah, 13, from a previous relationship—continued, “and out of respect for everyone involved, especially our daughters and loved ones, I’d kindly ask that any reporting reflects the compassion and privacy this situation deserves.”
