SATENA, Colombia’s national airline, has been recognized by the Global Brand Frontier Awards for its pioneering efforts in making air travel more accessible across Colombia’s challenging geographic regions. The award acknowledges the airline’s strategic deployment of small-capacity, fuel-efficient aircraft capable of serving remote areas with limited airport infrastructure, along with its implementation of a Hub & Spoke system that improves connectivity between major cities and underserved communities.

In 2024 alone, SATENA transported over 900,000 passengers. The airline is also planning to expand its fleet with eight specialized Twin Otter aircraft designed for operation in difficult terrains. These future-oriented initiatives and the recognition from the Global Brand Frontier Awards demonstrate the airline’s commitment to social integration through transportation solutions that address both geographic barriers and economic disparities in air travel access.
