Since launching in 2014, JustWatch has helped audiences find where to stream movies, TV shows, and sporting events. It has also helped users compare streaming prices and keep track of the titles they have seen or want towatch. Now, JustWatch will let users watch this content directly on its own streaming service: JustWatch TV.
This new platform will offer users free ad-supported content, titles to rent or buy, and an ad-free subscription. According to The Hollywood Reporter, JustWatch Group founder and CEO David Croyé announced the new streaming service at the Toronto International Film Festival.
“Every day, millions of people come to JustWatch searching for simpler ways to watch and discover hundreds of thousands of movies and TV shows,” Croyé said. “For over a decade, our mission has been to connect fans with their favorite films and shows, particularly the hard-to-find and previously unavailable titles. With the launch of JustWatch TV, we aim to make content discovery, access, and engagement even easier.”
This news sounds similar to what Letterboxd did recently with its own streaming service, Letterboxd Video Store. However, JustWatch TV has already distinguished itself from other major services, all while expanding its long-running streaming guide and offering more to its customers.

JustWatch TV offers content across multiple streaming services
Cord Cutter News reported that JustWatch TV will launch content from multiple partnering studios and distributors, including Paramount, New Regency, Fremantle, Bleecker Street, Vortex Media, and more. At first, titles available on the platform won’t be exclusive to JustWatch TV, though original releases will arrive in the future.
Though it will release its own content, JustWatch TV won’t try to replace other streaming platforms. Quentin Carbonell, JustWatch’s SVP of Global Content Acquisitions and Strategy, said the new platform will continue to direct users to services where they can better watch certain titles.
“JustWatch TV is designed to meet that demand head-on, offering a straightforward solution at a time of fragmentation. We are curating film and TV hits and hard-to-find gems that you can watch for free or rent on JustWatch, or easily rediscover them on your favorite services,” Carbonell said. “This way, JustWatch TV aims to support the whole industry, from filmmakers to distributors to streaming platforms across the world.”
Nevertheless, JustWatch TV has already set itself apart from streaming services like Netflix, Prime Video, Tubi, and Pluto TV. For more than a decade, JustWatch has gathered data on which movies and TV shows attract viewers, and its streaming guide includes information on over 500,000 movies and TV shows across more than 1,500 streaming services worldwide. This data will help determine which titles appear on the platform, allowing JustWatch TV to provide content that users want to stream.
In addition, JustWatch has garnered a massive following as a streaming guide, with more than 50 million users each month, according to Cord Cutter News. In a market where everyone has their own streaming service, JustWatch TV will enter the playing field with a considerable audience and a large amount of streaming data.

JustWatch TV will launch in October 2026 in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Australia, and New Zealand. JustWatch TV is also now in beta, and users can already stream and rent a variety of titles.
Popular selections include Interstellar, The Truman Show, Saving Private Ryan, The Godfather, No Country for Old Men, and Top Gun: Maverick. With some of the biggest movies of all time already in its digital library, JustWatch TV offers some interesting content for casual streamers and diehard cinephiles.
Additionally, this service won’t be a separate app, so users can watch and rent available titles without switching to another platform. If a certain title isn’t available on JustWatch TV, it will direct users to platforms where they can stream it.
Via The Wrap, JustWatch announced that its new streaming platform will “offer a unique model that both encourages consumers to discover titles and watch them directly on JustWatch, or on their preferred streaming services across the world.”
Though the service has yet to launch, users can access it from web browsers, mobile devices, and TV apps. Users can download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. It can also be installed on streaming devices like Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, LG, or Samsung.
