Nancy Guthrie investigators ‘detain four’, as neighbor claims they saw person shoot themselves in head and Range Rover is covered with sheets while cops investigate its trunk

SWAT cops and FBI investigators detained at least four people in the hunt for Nancy Guthrie, it was claimed.

Fox News reported that three people – believed to be two men and one of their mothers – were apprehended by Pima County Sheriff’s Deputies in Tucson late Friday night, about two miles away from Nancy’s home.

Local NBC affiliate KVOA spoke to a neighbor who claimed one person shot themselves in the head during that operation, although that allegation has not been confirmed.

Meanwhile, a silver Range Rover sport was pulled over by the FBI during a traffic stop related to the February 1 disappearance of Nancy, 84, with its driver also detained, Fox News reported.

The driver, whose age and gender have not been disclosed, was taken away for questioning.

It is unclear if they are still in custody.

Fox News reported that stop, close to a Culver’s fast food restaurant, was also connected to Guthrie’s disappearance.

Photos showed the trunk of the SUV opened and covered with a white sheet as investigators examined its contents.

Pima County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the SWAT operation at the property two miles from Nancy’s home was connected to her disappearance and said the swoop was carried out ‘at the request of the FBI.’

They told reporters a statement would follow shortly afterwards, then said they had been asked to withhold information at the request of the FBI.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has yet to say when the next update will be given.

Nancy, the mother of NBC Today anchor Savannah, disappeared from her $1 million home in Tucson’s Catalina Hills neighborhood in the early hours of February 1.

Doorbell camera footage released this week showed an armed figure in a ski mask wearing black nitrile gloves apparently trying to disable her doorbell camera shortly before she disappeared.

Multiple ransom notes have been sent demanding up to $6 million for Nancy’s release.

Savannah Guthrie, her sister Annie and brother Camron said they were taking the notes seriously, but their contents have not been verified.
