Arc’teryx updates its flagship Beta AR Jacket for Fall/Winter 2025 with the debut of GORE-TEX PRO ePE—a new membrane offering the same pro-grade durability with a lighter environmental impact. As the first Arc’teryx jacket to feature the next-gen fabric, the Beta AR introduces a PFAS-free shell tested in real alpine conditions, logging 150+ hours with guides and athletes. The updated design includes more durable lamination, refined cordlocks, and RECCO® reflector integration in the hood for improved emergency searchability.
Designed by the brand’s Advanced Concepts and Materials team, the jacket balances abrasion resistance with lightweight protection: 100D fabric shields high-wear areas, while 80D fabric trims weight. Glove-friendly cuffs, pit zips, pack-accessible pockets, and a helmet-compatible DropHood make it mountain-ready. The Beta AR remains a cornerstone of Arc’teryx’s alpine outerwear—but this season, it also marks a shift in sustainable design, proving rugged performance and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.
