In this video, I tell the story of Rod Stewart deciding to record “Maggie May.” In it I use the word, “sh*t” once. If this would offend you please don’t watch. And it’s a great story.

We don’t always know as much as we think we do. I was watching an interview that Howard Stern did with Rod Stewart. And he told the story about how at a time where he was doing an album, he had eight tracks for it. And the record company said, “You got one more?”
And he goes, I” got one more, but it’s not quite done. I can send it over to you. Let me know what you think. “
And he sent it over and they thought it was sh*t. And so did he as a matter of fact, but they put it on anyway. And that became Maggie May, which was his first solo or his breakthrough hit. And out of that, you’ve just got to ask yourself, what do people really know anyway?
Of course, he got turned down by the first record label he auditioned for and what did they know? They missed out on a huge entertainer and a lot of money.
So don’t always give away your power so quickly.
