Hearing Aid-Connected Televisions : Auracast Streaming

Starkey and LG collaborate to integrate Auracast streaming technology into the tech brand’s 2025 television lineup. This move represents a meaningful advancement in accessible entertainment for individuals with hearing impairments.

Starkey and LG leverage next-generation Bluetooth standards like LE Audio and Auracast. The partnership eliminates the need for intermediary streaming devices, allowing Starkey Edge AI hearing aid users to directly receive high-fidelity television audio at customizable volume levels while others in the room maintain their preferred listening settings. This technical integration addresses several longstanding pain points for hearing aid wearers, including audio clarity challenges, volume control conflicts with family members, and the fatigue associated with straining to comprehend dialogue.

The solution’s multi-user capability demonstrates thoughtful consideration of shared viewing environments where diverse hearing needs coexist.
