Chicago Fed National Activity Index reverses to negative territory in April

The Chicago Fed National Activity Index (“CFNAI”) fell to -0.25 in April, reversing from +0.03 in the prior month, which was revised from -0.03, the Chicago Fed said on Thursday. The gauge’s three-month moving average, labeled as CFNAI-MA3, remained unchanged at +0.05 last month.
