Brand New Day’s streaming date is almost here ‣ Diverse Daily

Spider-Man: Brand New Day quickly became one of the biggest movies in history. Since its theatrical premiere, the film has garnered over $2.495 billion worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo. As a result, Brand New Day has surpassed Avatar: The Way of Water at the box office and become the third-highest-grossing film of all time, putting it just behind another Marvel film, Avengers: Endgame.

Though it came out on July 31, the movie’s commercial performance all but ensured its long life in cinemas. Sony and Marvel’s mega-blockbuster got an extended theatrical run in early September that’s scheduled to end on November 16, giving it more time to rake in the money. Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait another couple of months to watch the movie at home. Roughly two months after its theatrical debut, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has now set a date for its premiere on digital and VOD platforms.

If you’ve been waiting to watch Spider-Man: Brand New Day at home, you won’t have to wait much longer. According to When to Stream, the movie will hit digital platforms on October 6. Sony Pictures has not yet confirmed whether this release date is accurate. If it is true, then it would give the film a 68-day gap between its July 31 theatrical release and its digital premiere. With an October release, fans who haven’t seen Brand New Day will have enough time to catch up before Marvel’s next crossover blockbuster, Avengers: Doomsday.

Marvel movies can spend 45 to 60 days in theaters before they become available to rent or purchase digitally. Given how profitable Spider-Man movies have been for Marvel and Sony, they can spend more time as theatrical exclusives to gross as much money as possible. With its home release just days away, you can pre-order the movie on major platforms like Apple TV and Fandango at Home for $30.

As for physical copies of the movie, fans will have to wait much longer. MovieWeb reported that Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be available on 4K Blu-ray, standard Blu-ray, and DVD on November 17. Pre-orders for physical discs of the film, which include access to digital copies, are now available on Walmart and Amazon for about $38.

When will Spider-Man: Brand New Day hit Disney+ and/or Netflix?

Early 2027 seems like the safest bet

While some fans may want to rent or buy Spider-Man: Brand New Day, others may wait to stream it on a platform they already subscribe to in order to save money. Since Disney owns Marvel Studios and all the movies it produces, Brand New Day should eventually arrive on its flagship streaming service, Disney+. There, it will join the rest of Marvel’s films, including Tom Holland’s first three Spider-Man movies.

However, as of January 2026, Sony has a deal with Netflix ensuring that the movie will appear exclusively on Netflix for its first streaming window. Since Brand New Day came out months after the deal was made, it may take a while for the movie to pop up on Disney+. MovieWeb author Dan Selcke predicts that they will add the film to their selections by at least early 2027. Ultimately, neither streaming service has announced a release date yet.

All in all, Marvel fans shouldn’t have to wait much longer to stream Spider-Man: Brand New Day at home. Though rental and purchase prices are high, we have seen that audiences were willing to spend a total of almost $2.5 billion in theaters to watch Spider-Man’s latest big-screen adventure. A digital release should give the movie an extra boost with audiences at home.
