Prince William may be heir to the British throne, but when it comes to a relaxing night at home, he prefers to unwind like many other millennials: with a bit of reality TV.

In his new book, Elizabeth II: In Private. In Public. Her Story, royal biographer Robert Hardman compares the working styles of the late Queen’s direct heirs, William and his father, King Charles.

“The heir to the throne is less of a traditionalist than his father, but he is less of a radical, too,” Hardman writes of William. “The King is the one who still enjoys sitting up writing letters into the night, whereas Prince William’s idea of a fun evening, says one of his team, is to ‘sit down with the Princess in front of The Traitors.’ ”

Prince William and Kate Middleton, both 44, are hardly the only Traitors fans. The U.K. version of the reality competition show — in which secretive groups of “Traitors” and “Faithful” strive to eliminate each other in a social deduction game — has become one of the most-watched British game shows of all time since premiering in 2022.

Prince William gave perhaps the most revealing interview of his life on an unexpected television series last fall. He was surprisingly candid during an appearance on Eugene Levy‘s Apple TV+ series, The Reluctant Traveler, opening up about everything from his parents’ divorce to how his children — Prince George, 13, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8 — coped with Kate’s cancer diagnosis.

As he and Levy shared a pint and toured around Windsor Castle, William even made mention of his estranged brother, Prince Harry, while reflecting on how he feels about George one day following in his footsteps to become King of England.

“It’s an interesting question, and it’s a big question, that one,” he said. “Because there’s lots of things to think about with that.”

William continued, “Obviously, I want to create a world in which my son is proud of what we do, a world and a job that actually does impact people’s lives for the better. That is caveated with, I hope we don’t go back to some of the practices in the past that Harry and I had to grow up with — and I’ll do everything I can to make sure we don’t regress in that situation.”

“I think it’s safe to say that change is on my agenda. Change for good,” the prince added. “And I embrace that, and I enjoy that change — I don’t fear it. That’s the bit that excites me, is the idea of being able to bring some change. Not overly radical change, but changes that I think that need to happen.”

Home life will look a little bit different for William and Kate this fall as Prince George is set to start at Eton College in September. The all-boys school, located not far from Windsor Castle, allows students to board while maintaining strong family ties. Boys return home on designated weekends, and parents are encouraged to attend sporting events, performances and other school activities.

George will be close to home as William and Kate relocated their family to Forest Lodge, an eight-bedroom residence on the Windsor estate, last fall.

While the Prince and Princess of Wales explored many options for their eldest child’s next step in schooling, a source close to the family recently told PEOPLE, “George has always wanted to follow in his dad’s footsteps.”
