“Kitchen islands. Adding an island in a kitchen makes more work for whoever is actually cooking! I cannot find a SINGLE house from the 20th century that has a kitchen the way it was originally built; they all have walls knocked out (and therefore storage eliminated), and big, honkin’, useless ISLANDS put in there! That breaks the kitchen. Kitchens aren’t there to look cute in photos; they are supposed to WORK!”
