Corning shares jump 6%, snapping a six-day losing streak (GLW:NYSE)

Corning (GLW) shares rose 6% on Thursday, breaking a six-session losing streak that had wiped out roughly 28% of the stock’s value. The stock had last closed higher on July 29th, at $255.69, before the slide began.
