Taylor Lewan has publicly called out his ‘friend of 10 years’ Travis Kelce for not being one of the 1,000 people who was invited to his wedding to Taylor Swift at Madison Square Garden in New York.

In an astonishing outbust on his ‘Bussin’ With The Boys’ podcast on Tuesday, Lewan publicly questioned the newlyweds and claimed he must have missed something to justify their decision. Lewan was even asked if he thought Swift stopped Kelce from inviting him. He didn’t answer the question, instead responding by voicenoting Kelce directly requesting an explanation before deciding not to send it.

It comes after Lewan’s ‘Bussin’ With The Boys’ podcast co-host Will Compton admitted he was ‘flabbergasted’ at being left off the guest list by Kelce. 

Lewan and Compton have always spoken openly of their admiration and friendship with the Kansas City Chiefs star and the feelings have always appeared mutual. Compton and Lewan have spent time with Swift since she and Kelce became an item.

But while hosting the latest ‘Bussin’ episode without Compton, ex-Tennessee Titans man Lewan looked visibly surprised at being left off the guest list while discussing the big wedding. While he repeatedly joked about the snub, there was clearly some truth to the feeling behind his words.

‘We are extremely happy for them, clearly it was an extremely intimate wedding,’ Lewan began. ‘An intimate wedding with only their closest friends, only their closest friends and family went to.

‘Going into the weekend I thought “all good, didn’t get an invite”. At the end of the day when it comes to weddings, don’t make it about yourself. I sit back, happy for them, I shot Travis a text saying congratulations, he hit me back pretty quick. Happy for them and their relationship.

‘I hear it’s at MSG. Unique spot to get married. Heard they donated $26m to charity, incredible thing. I see a Pat McAfee post, him and his beautiful wife at the wedding, that’s awesome. 

I see Paul Rudd is there. Incredible stuff man, great actor. Abigail Anderson, I was thinking “I don’t know who that is”, turns out one of Taylor Swift’s closest friends from when she was little. That’s so beautiful.’

Eventually though, Lewan started to feel hurt over who made the cut ahead of him. 

‘Then I start to see – who is (US women’s soccer player) Alex Morgan? Who is that? And then Saturday afternoon, or in the evening, seems like a lot of people go to this wedding. Baker Mayfield, his wife there. Beaabadoobee (the singer)… gotta go? Benson Boone, yeah gotta have him. Bowen Yang, who is that?

‘Dude when I saw that Dean Blandino got invited, friend of our show. Dean Blandino was there. Now I am starting to think is this a personal shot that Will and I are taking?’

Lewan then admitted that he wonders if he had done something without realizing that caused him to be left out.

‘This is a high road episode but we can point out why we are taking the high road,’ Lewan said. ‘Cooper Kupp is there (Seattle Seahawks wide receiver) – you didn’t play with Cooper Kupp!

‘I’m looking at these names… this is where I was kind of like, ok. When I saw George Kittle’s mom and stepmom there! Yo, we’re boys! I’ve known you over 10 years! We text and call each other!

‘I’m going to take the high road, ok, but clearly I am doing something wrong in our friendship. Clearly doing something wrong.’

‘Friday, I said “congrats amigo” and Saturday, he said “thanks brother”. Just boys going back and forth.’ Dude, there’s so many people. There is stadium seating! It sits so many people. There’s clearly a blind spot I am not seeing.

‘I’m not taking away from how amazing this wedding probably was. Listen, I’m not taking away from all these people going there. How many people does MSG hold? What you’re telling me is I’m not top 9,500 in Travis’s life?’

Lewan was then asked if he thinks Swift stopped Kelce from inviting him. He didn’t answer, instead taking out his phone and recording Kelce a voicenote.

‘Trav this is Taylor. I got you a little voice memo here on Bussin’ with the Boys. Listen I am so happy for you, couldn’t be more excited for you and your beautiful wife. I just want to know the thought process of inviting people and how did that work?

‘I am seeing a lot of individuals on here and I am just wondering how it all happened. Hope you’re all good.’

Lewan then joked about whether it was correct to send it before stopping himself. But the moment was still left on the latest podcast episode that was uploaded on Tuesday, so clearly the sentiment remains.

And it echoed what Compton said on Monday, when Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy phoned him live on air to ask why he didn’t go.

‘I’m gonna be honest, I didn’t think nothing of it,’ Compton told Portnoy over the phone while the show was going live. 

‘Turns out, all these photos I keep seeing, I saw Dean Blandino got an invite? Is that real?’

He added: ‘As I’ve been seeing these photos of everybody else at the wedding, I’m kinda flabbergasted we didn’t get the invite.’

The podcast hosts have had Kelce on their show in the past, as well as being friends with him outside of the limelight.
