After his retirement, Miller has been focused on life with his and wife Morgan Beck Miller’s eight children. The couple share Nash, 10, Easton, 7, twins Asher and Askel, both 6, Scarlet, 4, as well as Bode’s kids Dace, 18 and Nate, 12, from prior relationships.

The couple also shared daughter Emeline, who died in 2018 at just 19 months old after drowning in a neighbor’s swimming pool.

Since Emeline’s death, Miller and Beck have become advocates for children’s water safety education and  appeared on the Today show in May to raise awareness. 

“It can be an uncomfortable topic,” Miller said during he and his wife’s appearance, “and a lot of people avoid it but we’re really trying to bring that to the forefront.”
