People online thought it was major shade at the Oscars and that Timothée was still disappointed about losing. 

Writing on X, one person said, “Omg he sounded so salty.” Another agreed, “This just sounds like he’s still sore about that Oscar.”

Others expressed concern that the comments could hurt his future award prospects.
