Paula Abdul is forever a Meghan Markle fan.

In fact, the “Forever Your Girl” singer was royally flushed when the Duchess of Sussex recently used her iconic song while celebrating her and Prince Harry‘s eighth wedding anniversary on her Instagram Story.

“I was in shock and I was so touched,” Paula told E! News at the 2026 American Music Awards on May 25. “I never take anything for granted with my career, I never have. After seeing the shoutout, Paula hit the repost button on her Instagram Story.

“I just texted her back,” Paula added, “saying, ‘What beautiful pictures and thank you so much for using my song.'”

Indeed, for Meghan and Harry’s wedding milestone, the As Ever founder posted a series of never-before-seen pictures from their May 2019 nuptials, writing, “Eight years ago today.”
