John Stamos is remembering his late friend and former costar Bob Saget on what would have been the comedian's 70th birthday.

Stamos, 62, shared an emotional tribute to Saget on Instagram, posting what he described as the “last pic” he ever took with the late actor before his death in January 2022.

In the photo, which appears last in a carousel of throwback snaps of the stars, Stamos and Saget posed with their wives, Caitlin McHugh and Kelly Rizzo, respectively, at sunset in front of the open ocean.

“Last pic,” Stamos wrote over the image.

“We used to throw each other great birthday parties. Your 70th today would've been epic! I miss you and love you," he added in the caption.

The post also included a video of the stars singing together, photos of them performing onstage and a picture of Stamos affectionately embracing Saget as he sat behind a drum set.

Fans and celebrity friends quickly filled the comments section with messages of support and remembrance for Saget, who died at age 65 on Jan. 9, 2022.

Candace Cameron Bure, who starred alongside the actors in Full House as eldest daughter D.J. Tanner, responded to the post with three red heart emojis.

“Sending you all so much love 🫶🫶🫶,” a fan wrote.

Stamos and Saget famously starred together in Full House, the beloved ABC family sitcom, from 1987 to 1995, playing Jesse Katsopolis and Danny Tanner, respectively. They also both reprised their roles for the reboot, Fuller House, which aired on Netflix from 2016 to 2020.

Stamos has often spoken publicly about his grief over losing his friend.

“As time moves on, that sharp pain I felt at the beginning… it's become a part of me. It doesn't feel as overwhelming as it did in the first year. Maybe I've just gotten used to it, and I'm not sure how I feel about that,” Stamos wrote in an Instagram tribute shared on the second anniversary of Saget's death. 

“I miss him. A lot. Every day," he added. "But I'm also grateful for the time we had, for the laughs, for the friendship. He was one of a kind, and I was lucky to call him my friend."
